This includes completing standardized coursework established by Marriott and industry guidelines, ensuring that you get the finest event planning and on-site assistance available.

Certified Meeting Professionals

Sponsored by the Convention Industry Council, the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation is reserved only for planners who have achieved the industry’s highest standards of distinction. There are 500 Certified Meeting Professionals at Marriott and each one is an authority in the areas of catering, marketing, vendor selection, space requirements and many other facets of event planning.

Certified Wedding Planners

Dream weddings don’t just happen. They’re planned, and Marriott’s Certified Wedding Planners are trained to help. After completing demanding coursework, each Marriott Certified Wedding Planner is qualified to coordinate weddings of all types, including ethnic and military weddings.

Relying on experience, training, tradition and old-fashioned intuition, Marriott Certified Wedding Planners can help you determine an overall vision for your wedding and help you execute each detail. That includes setting an event budget; deciding on a menu; arranging table settings; and finding florists, photographers, a band and other entertainment for the big day.

Marriott Redcoat Event Associates

Maybe you need an extension cord for a projector or perhaps your meeting room is too cold. A solution is easy to find - just look for the person in the red coat. He or she is a member of Marriott's Redcoat event staff and there to save the day by immediately solving any problem you may encounter. How's that for on the spot service?

Easily recognizable in their plum-colored jackets, our North American Renaissance PlumPerfect™ associates are devoted to going above and beyond, providing "Savvy Signatures" to ensure a flawless, memorable experience. "Savvy Signatures" are anything the PlumPerfect associate can do to make your planner’s job easier, such as overseeing all aspects of the execution of the event, running out to help pick up last minute supplies, or satisfying special requests.
