Terms of Service for the Participation of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection in Marriott Bonvoy™

Effective June 2023

 

The following terms of service (“RCYC Terms”) apply to the participation of The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection (“RCYC”) in the Marriott Bonvoy loyalty program (“Loyalty Program”). The RCYC Terms are hereby incorporated into the terms and conditions that govern the Loyalty Program (“Program Rules”).
 

Any capitalized terms not defined in these RCYC Terms will have the meaning ascribed to them in the Program Rules, available at https://www.marriott.com/loyalty/terms/default.mi and incorporated herein by reference. To the extent there is a direct conflict between the Program Rules and these RCYC Terms, these RCYC Terms prevail with respect to Loyalty Program members (“Members”) travelling with RCYC.
 

By participating in the Loyalty Program, you are accepting all the Program Rules, including these RCYC Terms. It is your responsibility to read them and to comply with them. We reserve the right, at our discretion, to change and or modify the RCYC Terms at any time without notice and, unless otherwise indicated, such changes will become effective immediately upon posting; therefore, please check these RCYC Terms periodically for changes. We will display the effective date of these RCYC Terms at the top of this page.


1. INTRODUCTION

 

The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection is an earning and redemption partner with unique participation in the Loyalty Program. Members who book and complete Cruises and/or RCYC Hotel Package Rate bookings (as each such term is defined below) through RCYC are subject to the Program Rules, these RCYC Terms, RCYC Booking Terms & Conditions, the RCYC Ticket Contract as well as additional terms and conditions described in the Legal section on https://www.ritzcarltonyachtcollection.com/

 

 

 

2. PARTICIPATION

 

Members with an active Membership Account in good standing are eligible to receive Loyalty Program Points, Elite Night Credit, and other Loyalty Program benefits for all completed Cruises booked and purchased through The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection.
 

To ensure Points and Elite Night Credit are posted to the correct Membership Account, Members must provide their correct Membership Number at time of purchase, or up to thirty (30) days prior to their scheduled Cruise embarkation date.

 

 

 

3. EARNING LOYALTY PROGRAM POINTS AND ELITE NIGHT CREDIT

 

All Marriott Bonvoy Members regardless of Elite status will earn five (5) base Points for each U.S. dollar, or the currency equivalent, on the cash portion of the Cruise Fare (defined below) that is invoiced and paid for by the Member on RCYC published full individual tariff cruises (the “Cruises”, or individually, the “Cruise”). The term “Cruise Fare” as defined within the RCYC Ticket Contract (as defined below) includes suite accommodations, onboard meals and entertainment, non-alcoholic beverages, wines and liquors, standard Wi-Fi and onboard gratuities. Cruise Fares are per person, based on double occupancy for each suite accommodation. The cash portion of the paid Cruise Fare is considered a Qualifying Charge under the Loyalty Program.
 

Cruises Fares do not include air fare, transfers, hotel accommodations, enhanced Wi-Fi, meals in specialty restaurants, taxes, fees and port expenses, baggage handling and storage charges, credit card fees, surcharges, fees or charges imposed by governmental or quasi-governmental authorities, shore excursions, sightseeing or meals ashore, visa fees, laundry or dry cleaning, or any item or service whatsoever of a personal nature, such as medical charges incurred on board or ashore in connection with medical treatment, medical conditions, or medical disembarkation, spa services, salon services for which separate charges may be imposed. All items specifically excluded from the Cruise Fare, with the exception of certain hotel packages, do not qualify for Points (“Nonqualifying Charges”).
 

Member will earn Points on up to three (3) suites, double occupancy, for which they have paid provided the Member is booked in and stays in one (1) of the suites.
 

Members will earn five (5) base Points for each U.S. dollar, or the currency equivalent, on the hotel package rate for Loyalty Program Participating Properties that are booked through RCYC (“RCYC Hotel Package Rate”) and paid by the Member. The Qualifying Charges covered as part of the RCYC Hotel Package Rate include the room rate, transfer to/from the yacht, and breakfast.
 

Nonqualifying Charges for Points as part of the RCYC Hotel Package Rate include, but are not limited to, taxes, service charges, gratuities and fees. Members may earn on Qualifying Charges, such as for incidentals, that are paid directly to the Loyalty Program Participating Property.
 

Member will also earn Points on the RCYC Hotel Package Rate for up to three (3) guest rooms at a Loyalty Program Participating Property provided they stay in one of the reserved guest rooms and pay for all guest rooms.
 

Elite bonus Points are not awarded on Qualifying Charges for RCYC purchases.
 

Members will earn one (1) Elite Night Credit toward achieving Elite Membership Status for each Cruise night in a suite the Member personally pays for provided they sail on and complete the Cruise. Members will not receive Elite Night Credit for other suite(s) for which they have paid.
 

Members will also earn one (1) Elite Night Credit for each night at a Loyalty Program Participating Property as part of the RCYC Hotel Package Rate provided they stay in and personally pay for the guest room, and not for additional guest room(s) the Member may pay for.
 

The cash portion paid towards the Cruise Fare and RCYC Hotel Package Rate will be applied to the qualified annual spend requirement for achieving Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador Elite status.
 

Members cannot earn on full-yacht buyouts/charters and incentive groups booked through RCYC’s Meetings and Incentive department. Members traveling in full individual tariff groups will be eligible to earn Points on the Cruise Fare established as their lock-in rate.
 

Miles cannot be earned on Cruise Fare or RCYC Hotel Package Rate purchases.
 

No Points or Elite Night Credit will be issued to Members on cancelled Cruises. RCYC standard cancellation fees apply.
 

Members who provide their correct Marriott Bonvoy Membership Account Number at time of Cruise Fare purchase or up to 30 days prior to their scheduled Cruise embarkation date will have their Points and Elite Night Credit automatically added to their Membership Account up to fourteen (14) days following the completion of their Cruise.
 

Members who use their Marriott Bonvoy co-branded credit card for Qualifying Charges purchased through RCYC will also receive their bonus Points around the same time following the completion of their Cruise.
 

All Loyalty Program Rules, RCYC standard booking terms and conditions and the RCYC Ticket Contract apply to all Cruises booked through RCYC.

 

 

 

4. REDEEMING LOYALTY PROGRAM POINTS

 

A Member is eligible to redeem a minimum 180,000 Points for US $1,000 savings on the Cruise Fare and thereafter, in increments of either 180,000 Points for US $1,000 savings or 90,000 Points for US$500 savings on the Cruise Fare. A Member may redeem Points to apply towards the Cruise Fare of another guest who is traveling on the same Cruise. Full Points redemption of the Cruise Fare may be available. An additional payment method may be required to cover the full cost of the Cruise Fare. Points redeemed do not cover taxes, fees and port expenses.


Points redeemed on Cruise bookings made in a currency other than U.S. dollars will be converted to U.S. dollars to assess the Points required for redemption.


The ability to redeem Points towards the Cruise Fare is subject to verification of Points available in the Member’s Account at the time of deduction.
 

The ability to redeem Points towards the Cruise Fare is also subject to availability for each Cruise.
 

The portion of the Cruise Fare redeemed with Points will be considered a non-commissionable fare (NCF) item.
 

Points cannot be redeemed for the RCYC Hotel Package Rate.

 

Members may apply Points to their Cruise Fare up until one-hundred twenty-one (121) days prior to their scheduled Cruise embarkation date (when the final payment is due).
 

RCYC standard booking terms and conditions apply to all Cruises booked using any amount of Points. RCYC standard cancellation fees apply. If a Cruise booking is cancelled and Points were applied towards the Cruise Fare, Points will be refunded prior to the cash balance on the booking in accordance with RCYC standard cancellation policy.
 

All other Loyalty Program Redemption Awards, products or services are not available at RCYC.

 

 

 

5. ELITE MEMBER BENEFITS

 

Benefits are provided to Elite Members on a Cruise with The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. Benefits apply solely to the individual Elite Member and the one suite in which the Elite Member stays. All Members, including those at the Member tier, receive the program benefits of earn and redeem. All other Member benefits provided by Participating Properties as outlined in the Loyalty Program Rules are not available at RCYC, such as the Elite Benefits Guarantee and Ultimate Reservation Guarantee.

6. ADDITIONAL TERMS

 

The Look No Further Best Rate Guarantee offered by Marriott International, Inc. does not apply to Cruise bookings and RCYC Hotel Package Rate bookings made through The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection.


Member Rates are not available on purchases made through The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection.


For past Cruises at The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, a Member may request credits for Points and/or Elite Night Credit that are not reflected in their Member’s Account if it has been more than fourteen (14) days from the completion of their Cruise by contacting The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection at https://www.ritzcarltonyachtcollection.com/contactus↗.
